Permanent Tooth Replacement in Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, & Glendora

Replacement for Missing Teeth

Dental implants have revolutionized dentistry and how we replace teeth. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are a 2 part system that requires a 2 doctor approach involving your oral surgeon and restorative dentist. The surgeon places the titanium root into your jaw bone. After a period of healing and integration into the bone, the tooth crown gets placed on the implant. Dental implants can replace 1 tooth, multiple teeth or all your teeth. The number of implants required depends on your restorative plan.

Dental Implant Surgery

The placement of dental implants can involve multiple surgical procedures, depending on your needs. For example, we may need to extract teeth or create a good foundation for the implant with bone grafting prior to implant placement. The actual placement of the implant may involve 1 or 2 surgeries. The first surgery involves placing the titanium screw into your jaw bone. This can be performed with maximal comfort under IV sedation or anesthesia. After a period of healing, the implant will be uncovered in a second, minor soft tissue procedure. Sometimes, the second procedure is not needed. While you are healing, a temporary replacement for that tooth can be provided. This temporary tooth or teeth can be attached to the implant itself, or a removable option. Most patients experience minimal disruption in their daily life. The procedure is not particularly traumatic nor painful in recovery.

Technological Advances

Using the most recent advances in 3D imagingDr. Dudziak, Dr. Choi, Dr. Hicke, Dr. Paxman and Dr. Kim are able to virtually plan your case on the computer to accurately look at your bone, nerves and other neighboring structures. The plan is then transferred to your jaw with the use of surgical guides. We also have the ability to digitally scan your teeth using our 3D Itero intraoral scanner and create your new tooth
